Um … please tell me this is real.

This wedding is actually a dear friend of mine’s sister. I have never met her but she is totally bad ass, as you can see. I’ve always loved the idea of a wedding being about the a couple and not what guests want from them. This to me is the ultimate example of proving love through partnership, putting your life in each others hands, and well, scaling a mountain together. Its a truly beautiful moment in a total strangers life. And I, of course, cried.

This stunning short by Cirque du Soleil shows how precise and graceful the interactions between humans and robots can be.

Cirque du Soleil, ETH Zurich, and Verity Studios have partnered to develop a short film featuring 10 quadcopters in a flying dance performance. The collaboration resulted in a unique, interactive choreography where humans and drones move in sync.

Here at HSA, we are big fans of Casey Neistat. He’s a worldly fellow who makes makes beautiful and thoughtful documentaries. So it of course makes sense that he would use his talents to unveil some of the most important moments of his life. Congrats Candice and Casey!!!

Burning Man. It’s not for everyone, but it’s beauty is. Personally, I have been five times. I hate the heat and don’t do drugs. But I love the break from reality where people actually talk to you not at you and there is no where you need to be but besides exactly where you are. It’s such a raw and haunting place filled with so much beauty (both visually and in spirit.) This series of timelapses gives you good glimpse into the wonderful and mysterious event that bring tens of thousands to the Nevada desert each year.

Singapore airport is the busiest in the world with flights taking off and landing every minute during it’s busiest hours. This timelapse was create to unearth the beauty in the bustle. As each airplane breaks into the atmosphere, it shoots across the sky like a star. Simply Stunning.

Not much to say here. It’s Simon and Garfunkel’s The Sound of Silence but robot-y! I also appreciate that it’s such a calm relaxing song remixed into a stress-y soundtrack.

As silly as this video starts off to be, it is important to watch and learn what is actually happening here. Pouring buckets of ice over your head means something to the 30,000 people in the US with ALS who aren’t being offered a cure. I knew the disease is genetic and terrifying, but this video breaks it all down in a way that is easy (also heartbreaking) to understand.

My co-worker sent me this video because he’s obsessed and now I am too. I can’t even tell you why.
