Kite Surfing Hurricane Sandy

When there is a massive hurricane spiraling offshore, I’m pretty sure, it goes without saying, that you should stay out of the water. The one (potentially fatal) exception being that you’re a surfer chasing epic waves and the standard rules of safety (and sanity) need not apply. Personally, I look at these muddy, angry waters and I don’t think “dude.” But, this disaster of a surfing adventure is so crazy that it must be cool.
