“I Am Not a Princess”: The ultimate fairy tale remix

I don’t normally post music videos, but this video by ELY, accompanying a “supermix” of tracks by Welsh pop artist Marina and the Diamonds, won me over for a number of reasons.

For one thing, it’s hugely ambitious for a spec project, with a huge cast, dance numbers, multiple set pieces and great costumes and production value. For another, I really dug the post-modern take on fairy tales, changing the ending for classic tales like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. If ABC’s Once Upon a Time was like this, I’d watch. In the meantime, there’s this. So enjoy.
