Poetry Slams Just Became Interesting

I love a good rant; doubly so if it’s simultaneously intelligent, comedic and poignant. And I’ve never been to a poetry slam, so I’ll apologize if this is par for the course (but I sincerely doubt it.) There’s not a lot I can say about the topic without giving it away, but suffice to say it’s possibly the most passionate rant I’ve ever heard about a very familiar childhood topic. It’s also very reminiscent of George Carlin and Bill Hicks – commentary masked with whimsy and tinted with a slight hint of complete and utter insanity.

Give it thirty seconds, and I can almost guarantee that you’ll be along for the whole ride.
