In praise of a great twist

I was watching this short film by animator Jacob Frey and other students at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, and while the animation was clearly gorgeous — like, Pixar good — the story struck me as a bit rote and cliched.

However, the blog I found it on (thanks for that, Neatorama) said that the story only really got started after the final credits began, and so I gave it the benefit of the doubt — and was repaid in legitimate LOLZ. Well-played, Bob. Well-played.
