Eye Of The Storm – Lovett
I remember when music videos were the high-point of motion-picture style. It was the early-mid 90s and they damn near defined the filmic ideals of style over substance, in the process spawning more Michael Bay clones than I care to admit. Maybe it’s just growing up in that time period, but even with all that said, a well-stylized video is something I will always appreciate.
There’s something…visceral about the visual style of this video. It’s both incredibly simple and amazingly detailed. The very film noir look and steampunk elements really drew me into the world, and the silent-film-esque narration brought it home for me.
